NEW SERIES STARTS AUGUST 21st

Thank goodness no one reads this shit because it's been ages since our last blog!

We've been crazy busy filming/editing the brand new series of Pulp Sport so just like a cheesy cooking show we can say "here's one we prepared earlier" and you can the pre-prepared show from... FRIDAY 21st AUGUST at 9.30pm on TV3

We're pretty pleased with how it's all shaping up. This year there are several new characters - Bloody Asian Driver, Thomas the Tackle Bag and Anti-Social Sportsman. As well as the return of old favs segments like Tui Sneak, McKay-ver and the Super Streaker. The Mascot helps out with Mascot Recession Tips and there's a new twist in Sporting Hell which ups the stakes for the two of us.

As usual we've managed to twist the arms of many local and international celebs... everyone from Karl Urban, Rove McManus, Suzanne Paul, Dan Carter and the Power Saving Pukeko.

We've also gone all Joaquin Phoenix and gone Hip Hop. Just, without the weird Letterman appearance. Here is the link to their new Hip Hop video which was posted online on Monday.

So come on, tell yah friends about the new series of Pulp Sport, starting August 21st... because we need the ratings!!

Pulp Sport Series 7 in underway!

Well, filming is underway for the new series of Pulp Sport! We headed down to Wellington and attempted a Tui Sneak at the Basin Reserve test match. Ben's mate Benji (in the overalls) was the sneakee. Sneaker? Sneakee? Sneaker? Um, he did the sneak, yeah that'll do, dressed up as a painter with one of those lines painters, and a bucket full of beer. The day went well, apart from what happened in the actual game, so one skit down, many more to come.

Series 7 will be hitting screens on TV3 in October.

Best on the Box

While we may not have won the elections, we have managed to win two Awards in TV Guide’s Best on the Box Awards. For some strange reason the two of us managed to combine our 165kg's (most of those are Bill's) to take out the "Funniest Person on TV" and Pulp Sport also won "Best Comedy".

We'd just like to take a moment to thank two people who made this award possible... Bret and Jermaine from Flight of the Conchords, thank you guys for making your TV show overseas and not being elegible for nomination.

Warriors Get New Cheerleader

To model in front of 500 people takes alot of guts but fortunately Bill's got plenty! After loosing a backstage coin toss (yes Ben actually won for once) he got up on the catwalk and modeled this stunning Warriors cheerleading outfit for the Warriors Season Launch on Wednesday 25th.

It'll Just Be a Couple of Quiets... Yeah Right.

On Saturday 28th Feb the Pulp Sport crew will be hitting the Tui Brewery in the thriving metropolis of Mangatainoka for Tui's very own "Small Town Big Sounds".

There's top kiwi bands like The Feelers, Elemeno P, Jordan Luck and two wanna be TV hacks as MC's.

Plus there's great kiwi tucker and not to mention plenty of our favourite East Indian Pale Ale.

Don't worry someone else is sorting out all the logistics, as we realise we couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, so check out the Tui Website for tickets and more details... http://www.tui.co.nz/

Pulp Sport goes to the Merry Old Land of Oz.

Australia have finally made up for the "underarm incident" by agreeing to screen Pulp Sport on TV there. So no more bitching and moaning about it. We're sorry if "in your opinion" this doesn't make up for such a cricketing atrocity but we're pretty happy about it. So catch Pulp Sport episodes at random times of the day and night on Fuel TV in Oz.
